Student Worker Recognition Program (Held Annually)
Each year the first full week in April is
designated as Student Employment Week by the National Student Employment Association.

Program is open to all regular and work study student workers. During March, your
supervisor should evaluate your work performance, based on the following criteria:
Job Knowledge
Quality of Work

Submission of an evaluation form entitles a student
worker to a Certificate of Appreciation. Students who receive from their supervisor(s) an

eligible for nomination as Student Worker of the Year. A letter/letters of recommendation
from their supervisor(s) must be submitted in conjunction with the evaluation form. The
winning student will be chosen by a committee comprised of members of the department whose
student won the award the previous year.
The Student Worker receives a monetary award and
cetificate presented to them by the President of Lakeland Community College at the President's
Coffee held in April.
Early in March notices for this event are sent to
current student employees and supervisors. If you don't receive notification, check with
your supervisor to make sure you are included.
