What is the difference between federal work study
and regular student employment? Federal work study simply means that the student has
applied for and received financial aid from the government. This money is referred to
as Federal Work Study. This classification is the only difference between a work study
student employee and a regular student employee. Contact the Financial Aid Office for
additional details on this program.
What jobs are available?
A current list of available student
employment openings is posted on the Career Services bulletin boards. This
list may also be picked up at Career Services, or viewed on our on-line job
board. If a student finds a job of interest, he/she should call the contact
person at the listed phone number.
What is the difference between Federal
Work Study (FWS) positions and regular Student Worker (SW) positions?
A Federal Work Study position requires that
the student has applied for and received financial aid from the Federal government.
A part of the financial aid award could include Federal Work Study funding, which
allows Federal Work Study (FWS) students to apply for "FWS" positions on campus as
well as "SW" positions. Student workers (SW) are students who have not received financial
aid. Student Workers can only apply for "SW" positions. Contact the Financial Aid Office
at 440-525-7070 or stop by A-1004 for additional details about the Work Study program.

more than 25 hours per week during Fall and Spring semesters. They may work 40 hours

the month. All student workers are required to have Direct Deposit of their paycheck
to a checking or savings account. All checks go directly to the designated account.

your pay stub; contact the Help Desk at 440.525.7570. If for any reason you feel
