About Career Services:

The Career Services Center assists current Lakeland students and alumni in obtaining employment and career related, experiential learning, both on and off campus.

Services include:

  • Job postings; an interactive, 24/7 online job board; resume posting service; and on-campus interviews with employers.

  • Up-to-date career information and technologically advanced job search tools.

  • Individualized career coaching and training in a wide range of job search skills, and resume and cover letter critiquing.

  • Job search skills workshops and special events such as job fairs and career and company information seminars.

  • Cooperative Education and Field Experience Programs ("learn while you earn") opportunities.

  • Classroom presentations on career and job search topic.

Mission Statement:

The mission of Career Services is to foster a greater awareness of the world of work and to promote lifelong career management. Career Services empowers students and alumni with up-to-date career knowledge, job search skills and experiential education options so that they can choose, obtain and maintain meaningful careers and employment. While maximizing the use of the college's abundant resources, the department provides services that respond to the diverse needs of students and employers in fulfilling their mutual employment goals.
